With around 85,000 inhabitants, Constance is the secret capital of the Lake Constance region. The city looks lively and young, and in summer it exudes a maritime flair. Thanks to its location between the lake, the Bay of Constance and the Rhine, Konstanz has several kilometers of lakeshore that attracts people almost magically. In the historic old town there are countless cafés, clubs, cozy wine bars and a variety of restaurants next door to individual retail outlets. But above all, you can experience a lot here: art and culture, sport and games. Konstanz is right on the border with Switzerland, which offers many more excursion possibilities. When the view is clear, the Alps appear and invite you to take a trip. The range of events in Konstanz and the surrounding area is enormous: For example, there is the largest flea market in southern Germany in June and the Lake Night Festival in August with its brilliant fireworks, which attract thousands to the city every year.

But also the traditional carnival, wine festivals, Christmas market, concerts of all styles, cabaret, theater, and, and, and are absolutely worth experiencing. Those who like it more active can explore the surrounding area: with boat trips, cycling, hiking, skating and all kinds of water sports.
